Author Natasha D. Frazier is back with the latest installment in her McCall Family series. We recently spoke with her about With Every Moment.
Tell me about your latest book.
With Every Moment is the third book in the McCall Family series. The story picks up at the conclusion of book 2, With Every Step, and follows the story of Mike Stewart (Kennedy’s cousin). In With Every Moment, we explore short-term memory loss and the affect it has on Mike and his relationship with Danielle. Readers were introduced to Danielle in book 1, With Every Breath. She was Nina McCall’s personal assistant.
What inspired you to write it?
I wanted to tell Mike and Danielle’s story. They were secondary characters in the previous books, but I wanted readers to see and explore their lives as it relates to the McCall family. Everyone is connected, whether they know it or not. 🙂
When did you fall in love with the written word?
I was a teenager, probably 15 or 16, when I fell in love with the written word. My mom would buy the Arabesque romance novels, but wouldn’t read them. One day, I asked if I could read them. When she said yes, that was it for me. I’ve been hooked since then.
What’s the best part of being an author?
I love being able to share my heart and imagination with readers, connecting with them through my literary works.
What’s the hardest part of being an author?
It’s probably a tie between marketing and having an unlimited time to write. It drives me crazy when a part of my story comes to me and I’m not in a space where I can sit and write. I’m usually uneasy and feel “off” until I get to my laptop.
What books have you read lately and loved?
I recently started Tyora Moody’s Serena Manchester series. I’m loving it.
What book(s) are you most excited to read next?
I have to finish Tyora Moody’s Serena Manchester series. It’s so good! Can’t wait to see how it ends. She’s got me on the edge of my seat.
Who would you cast in a movie to play your main characters?
Mike would be played by Michael B. Jordan
Danielle would be played by Aja Naomi King

What’s next for you?
I am currently writing a romantic suspense series. This genre is new to me, so I’m pretty excited about it and where the stories are headed.
