Natosha Warner’s “Little” Book Inspiration Has a Big Impact on Her Life

March 21, 2017 by Chandra Sparks Splond

Natosha Warner

In this week’s installment of Thank-a-Book Tuesday, motivational speaker and author Natosha Warner revisits her childhood to find the book that changed her life.

The book that changed my life is really elementary entitled The Little Engine That Could.  Growing up, I was the little sister with a quiet demeanor, shy, withdrawn, as I often stood in my big sister’s shadow. I was probably the most likely to succeed at that time in my life.  I turned to reading, which was a place that allowed me to dream big. Reading allowed me to become Wonder Woman. Reading allowed me to mentally travel the world and see it as a place to find my voice. The Little Engine That Could instilled in me a mindset of not just thinking I can, but knowing I can, which totally symbolizes my life. I no longer see myself as this little personality, but I see myself as a change agent, a motivator and a person who inspires others. I am the woman that can!
