Author A.E. Valdez is back with a new release. I recently spoke with her about North King’s Unexpected Inevitability.
Tell me about your latest book.
My latest book, North King’s Unexpected Inevitability, is the third book of the Three Kings Billionaire series. It’s the story of the youngest brother, North.
Why did you decide to write it?
When I wrote the first book of the series, Snow King Catches His Snowflake, I intended for it to just be Snow’s story. That was until his two brothers, Winter and Snow came into the story. And now here we are!
Who is your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is North. We have a lot of similarities. The youngest, quiet, and having to learn to give up a bit of control for life to happen.
When did you fall in love with the written word?
I’ve loved books since I could read, but fell in love with writing in fifth grade when I learned it was the perfect medium to express myself.
If you could pick another profession, what would it be and why?
To be honest, I wouldn’t want to pick another profession. I know that this is my calling, and it’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid.
What author would you fangirl over?
Oh my gosh! So many! I can’t choose just one. I am honored to call some of my favorite authors friends, though!
What books have you read lately and loved?
Speak by J.L Seegars, The Culmination of Everything by Christina C. Jones, Maybe in this Lifetime by Asia Monique, and Screwed by Nicole Falls.
What books are you most excited to read next?
I’m not sure what I’ll read next, but I can guarantee you that it will be Black romance!
What’s next for you?
I think I may revisit some characters of the Rise & Fall series to see what they’re up to.
Do you have anything you would like to add?
Just that I have the best readers in the world!
