Author Angie Daniels Unleashes a New Book

January 30, 2026 by Chandra Sparks Splond

USA Today Bestselling author Angie Daniels is back with another installment of her Seduced in Submission. I recently spoke with her about Unleashed.

Tell me about your latest book.
Unleashed is Book 7 in the Seduced in Submission series, and the most emotionally dangerous installment yet.

She loved him.
She left him.

And this time…there’s no more running.

This is a dark erotic romance about what happens when raw passion is no longer enough. Peyton isn’t asking for intensity anymore—she’s demanding truth, presence, and emotional risk. And Creed must decide whether he’s capable of staying when it costs him the one thing he’s always protected most: control.

Why did you decide to write it?
Honestly? I didn’t decide. This story decided for me.

This one began whispering to me in 2014. I thought the story was finished more than once…but it kept whispering, not yet. Some stories refuse to be rushed, and this one demanded to be told on its own terms.

Who is your favorite character and why?
Peyton, without question. Watching her evolve from a quiet, underestimated housewife into a confident, independent woman running a magazine and commanding the attention of a man most women only fantasize about has been incredibly satisfying. Her growth is earned, messy, and powerful…and that’s what makes her unforgettable.

When did you fall in love with the written word?
I fell in love with writing in the fifth grade attending Montessori school, when I started writing stories and helped launch our first school newspaper. That was the moment I realized words weren’t just something you read…they were something you build worlds with.

If you could pick another profession, what would it be and why?
After nearly 19 years of military service, my heart is set on writing full-time after I retire. I’d love to step into screenwriting and film production, bringing emotionally intense stories from the page to the screen.

What author would you fangirl over?
James Patterson with no hesitation. I’d absolutely love to meet him in person.

What books have you read lately and loved?
I recently discovered John Grisham, and I’m fully obsessed.

What books are you most excited to read next?
Blood in the Water by Tiffany D. Jackson has been calling my name.

What’s next for you?
I’m taking a short creative reset before closing out a few long-running series. And then I’m diving headfirst back into standalone women’s fiction that’s been waiting patiently for its moment.

Do you have anything you’d like to add?
Coming back to fiction after a five-year PhD journey wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. I’m beyond grateful to be creating again, telling stories that are bold, emotional, and unapologetically mine. If you’re just discovering my work, this series is the perfect place to begin.
