Romance author L.R. Jackson is back with a second-chance romance readers have been asking for. I recently spoke with her about The Defiant Queen.
Tell me about The Defiant Queen.
The Defiant Queen is a second-chance romance filled with suspense, angst, and all the feels.
What inspired you to write this story?
It is a follow-up to The Accidental Queen. Readers fell in love with the side characters and wanted them to have their own story.
Who is your favorite character and why?
Baas. He’s a dynamic character with many layers.
When did you fall in love with the written word?
When I was about six years old.
What author would you fan over?
Shanora Williams
What books have you read lately and loved?
I haven’t had much time to read lately but I love anything romance.
Your publisher, Black Odyssey Media, is a huge proponent of script-to-screen. How do you envision The Defiant Queen beyond the book?
I would love for this story to play out on screen. The depth of the characters along with the story line is certainly a fit for tv.
What do you hope readers gain from your work?
I hope that readers gain hope.
