When authors collaborate, amazing things happen. Such in the case with the new venture by highly respected authors Joan Vassar and Alexandria House. I recently spoke with the duo about Audio in Black.
Tell me a little about your new venture, Audio in Black.
AIB is the result of our mutual love for Black books, Black writers and readers. Black books in audio elevate the storytelling experience. We saw a need for a platform where readers could easily find Black audiobook recommendations.
Why did you decide to launch it?
In 2021, we decided to support Black storytelling in audio form. The pandemic gave us time to think, then execute.
What can people expect from it?
People can expect honest reviews, audiobook spotlights, and a current list of new Black releases. We hope to offer more in the future. We hope to celebrate Black history every day.
