Contemporary romance author Bailey West is giving readers the first book in a new series that they are sure to love. I recently spoke with her about Epiphany.
Tell me about your latest book.
My latest release, Epiphany, is the first book in The Metamorphosis Series. This story is about Israel Lewis and Leona Aldaine. Leona and Israel took a shot at a relationship, but it didn’t work out the first time. They eventually give [the] relationship another try.
Why did you decide to write it?
I was ready to introduce a new group of characters. I also wanted to explore the concept of Christianity and dating.
What do you want readers to learn from the story?
I want people to learn that you can recover no matter what life throws you. Also, build your dream relationship based on what you and your partner decide and not what society may dictate.
What do you want readers to learn from your life?
I want readers to learn that it’s never too late to begin. I didn’t start writing until after my children were all out of high school and I was over 40.
If you could pick another profession, what would it be and why?
I would be a professional shopper. I love fashion, and I love spending other people’s money!
When did you fall in love with the written word?
I don’t remember not loving the written word.
What’s something readers would be surprised to know about you?
I’m an introvert and would prefer to stay inside the house. I love makeup and being girly, but I can only do it for so long before I’m over it.
What books have you read lately and loved?
The last book I read was The Dream by Danielle Allen
What books are you excited to read?
I’m excited to read anything by my author sisters. I look forward to having the time to relax and read.
What’s next for you?
I am working on the next book in The Metamorphosis Series. I believe there will be at least four books in the series.
