Author She Nell is back with the latest installment of her Living a Blessed Lie series. I recently spoke with her about Living a Blessed Lie 3.
Tell me about your latest book.
Tiffany thought the drama between her friends was over, but she was wrong. Jennifer was honest about her depression and mental health. Ebony confessed to having a child with Freddie, Jennifer’s husband. Tasha was in love with a very successful gentleman. Despite the appearances of happiness, Tiffany learns that her friend is struggling to have her basic needs met. She feels powerless because her friend will do anything for love.
What inspired you to write it?
The need for stories about characters that I could identify with.
When did you fall in love with the written word?
I would have to say as a child. I have always been an avid reader.
What’s the best part of being an author?
Meeting other authors and connecting with my readers.
What’s the hardest part of being an author?
Balancing author business and the actual writing of a book.
What books have you read lately and loved?
Currently I am reading the Eugeena Patterson mysteries by Tyora Moody.
What book(s) are you most excited to read next?
I am excited to get through the series. I have a couple more books to go.
Who would you cast in a movie to play your main characters?
Tiffany would be played by Zazie Beetz and Tasha by Joy Bryant.
What’s next for you?
I am currently working on a full-length novel, Resting on the Word, as well as promoting my t-shirt brand Jesus Lit.
