Author Aries Skye is back with another swoon-worthy romance. I recently talked with her about Love on the Ninth Floor.
Tell me about your latest book.
My latest book is about the middle sister, Angela from my first release Love on the Ninth Floor. Her story is titled Love on the Rebound, and it is a romantic chase in which a fitness guru falls for a full-figured paralegal, however, her self-esteem and past relationship struggles leave her doubting if Mr. Fitness is Mr. Too-Good-To-Be-True.
How long did it take you to write it?
This one flowed so naturally that it only took me about five months to pen.
Which character could you relate to the most and why?
Angela is my heart. She is witty, intelligent, and hilarious. She’s everyone’s go to, but hides behind her struggles with self-acceptance to her detriment, and she often places others’ needs above her own.
How are you celebrating the book’s release?
I am excited to announce that I am celebrating with a dual virtual book release party with author Aubree Pynn on November 26 at 7 pm EST with the Get Caught UP podcast via social media.
What is the most valuable piece of writing advice you’ve received?
The most valuable piece of writing advice that I’ve received is that I should always write the story in my heart that I want to write and not follow trends. It has helped me to feel confident in my finished work.
What books have you read lately and loved?
I absolutely loved Rifts and Refrains by TIYE and A Novel Christmas by Charity Shane.
What books are you excited to read?
I’m excited to read Losing Sight by Tati Richardson and Curvy Girl Summer by Danielle Allen.
What’s next for you?
My third installment Love on Board with my trad publisher will release later, and upcoming I will release a string of independent urban romance novellas in 2025.
Do you have anything you would like to add?
I am excited to announce that my release Love on the Rebound has been picked up by Target and will be shelved in their stores mid-January 2025.
